Reels Playbook — creditoslatinos

Playbook · creditoslatinos

Stop making ads. Start making a person people trust.

247 posts, 18 followers. That’s not bad luck — it’s the format. Here’s exactly why the reels aren’t landing, and the content engine that fixes it.

The real problem

The account isn’t small. The content is invisible.

Reach the algo gives it

First, the good news buried in that ratio: the effort is there. 247 posts is real discipline — it’s just aimed at a dead format. In 2026 Instagram ranks reels on watch time, sends (DM shares), and replays — not follower count. Tiny accounts hit millions of views every day. So “I’m too small” is not the reason.

The reason is the look. Every post is the same headshot pasted onto a stock house with big block text. To someone scrolling, that reads as “ad / AI spam” in the first half-second — they scroll past → zero watch time → the algorithm’s test batch fails → it buries the reel. Worse, it reads as a content mill, which quietly kills trust. In financing — where the real sale is “do I trust this person with my money and my immigration status” — that’s fatal.

The one shift

Real face. Real phone video. One useful thing.

In this niche, trust beats production value every single time. A 20-second selfie of him talking straight to camera — teaching one thing an immigrant buyer didn’t know — will outperform a hundred polished composites. People don’t follow a logo on a house. They follow the guy who told them the thing their bank wouldn’t.

The formula

Every reel, three parts, under 20 seconds

  1. Hook — first 3 secondsOne specific, surprising sentence, straight to camera. No logo intro, no “hola, soy…”. The words on screen mirror what he says. This is 80% of the result — if the first 3s don’t stop the scroll, nothing else matters.
  2. Value — seconds 3 to ~18Teach one thing. One idea per reel, with a concrete number.
  3. CTA — last 3 secondsSoft, and pointed at the DM: “Escríbeme la palabra CASA y te paso el número exacto.” A DM = a “send,” the signal Instagram weights highest — and it’s a live lead in his inbox.

Non-negotiables: vertical selfie video (not a still photo) · burned-in captions (80% watch on mute) · same person every time · post ~1/day · reply to every comment and DM within a few hours.

His unfair advantage

The hooks no one else in his niche says out loud

His audience is Latino immigrants — many self-employed, many with no SSN, most convinced they simply can’t buy a house. Every one of those beliefs is a myth he can break on camera. That’s content that gets saved and shared. Ten ready to film, in Spanish:

The content engine

So he actually sustains it (45 min = a month of reels)

  1. Batch-filmPick 10 hooks. Film all 10 in one sitting — phone on a $15 tripod, vertical, good light near a window. Change shirts halfway so they look like different days.
  2. Script with ClaudeGenerate a month of scripts in one prompt (below). He reads them off, doesn’t memorize.
  3. Edit + caption in one toolDrop each clip into Submagic or CapCut → auto-captions, trim the dead air → done in ~5 min each.
  4. Post & replyOne a day. Then work the comments and DMs — that’s where the algorithm reward and the actual clients are.

The “SaaS that just does it for me” trap

The tempting answer is an AI-avatar tool — HeyGen, Captions AI, Arcads — that spins a fake talking spokesperson out of text. Don’t. That is exactly the problem he already has: his current content looks AI-fake, and that’s why it’s dead. No software can replace his real face, and in a trust business it shouldn’t try.

The realistic “80% done for you” stack is simpler: Claude writes it → he films 10 selfies in 45 minutes → Submagic or CapCut auto-edits and captions. That’s the whole machine.

First 30 days

Dead simple, start Monday

  1. Week 1 — resetTurn the composited-face template OFF, for good. Film 10 reels from the hook list in one sitting. Post one a day.
  2. Track the right numberIgnore follower count. Watch saves, sends, and DMs — those are the leads. The reel with the most DMs is the winner.
  3. Weeks 2–4 — double downTake the 2 hooks that pulled the most saves/DMs and make 5 variations of each. Kill whatever got silence.
  4. The one ruleReply to every comment and every DM within a few hours. That single habit compounds reach and closes clients.
